Anne-Marie Charest, PhdCamp DirectorKnown as Mrs. Mermaid in schools, I have taught nature-based mindfulness practices to children, teens, and adults for over 11 years in the US and in Canada. As a therapist, educator and teacher, I developed several nature-based based curriculums called innerU Mindfulness Nature Adventures. These programs were developed with educational, social and emotional, physical, psychological, and ecological considerations. As a doctor in Transpersonal Psychology and a Marriage & Family Therapist specializing in Somatic Psychology, the expression of wellbeing has led me to reintroduce and revive ancient contemplative practices in Western culture. Today, I continue to help those interested in cultivating wellbeing, inner peace and a greater sense of connection with nature.

Mel GeorgiAssistant DirectorAs a native to Santa Barbara, I spent my summers surfing, kayaking, and exploring our coast. For the past 4 years, I've guided outdoor adventures here in Santa Barbara and the mountains of Colorado. These experiences range from sea-cave kayaking at Channel Islands National Park to working as a hiking and backpacking guide in Rocky Mountain National Park. My experience in outdoor education led to my passion of connecting children with the power of nature. As an outdoor educator, I believe in teaching children about ecology, conservation, and mindfulness in their own backyard. Whether it be kayaking, tide pooling, or surfing; the ocean offers great adventures and opportunities to grow with nature!
